Why obtain a psychological evaluation?

Psychological evaluations are designed to help individuals and their providers to better understand individuals and their mental, emotional, and behavioral strengths and weaknesses. Evaluations can help you learn about your mind, the way you think, your personality style, your emotions and thought patterns, and your needs, motivations and goals. They can clarify psychiatric diagnoses and help guide treatment and life decisions.
